The first is to bring someone with proven, real-world marketing and growth experience into your company, without the cost, risk, or twelve- to eighteen-month search required to hire that expertise full-time.

A Direct Message From Patric Chan: Before You Consider Me As Your Fractional CMO
If you're reading this, one of two things is true. You are already a client of mine, or you were referred by someone I've worked with directly. That is intentional. I do not take on fractional CMO or growth advisory clients from cold outreach or general inquiries. When I take on a client, I am attaching my name and my track record to the outcome. I want to be certain of that fit before any conversation happens, and you should expect the same standard from anyone you bring into this role.

So treat this page as that conversation, put in writing. What this role is, what it is not, and how to proceed if it makes sense for your business.
The Purpose of a Fractional CMO
Most founders who reach out to me do not have a marketing problem. Their marketing is working; that's why they are still getting sales. Their business may even be growing.
What they are missing is capacity.
A fractional CMO serves two functions.
The second, and this is the part most founders underestimate, is to remove the marketing and growth function from your desk so you can focus on the parts of the business that only you can run. Your role as CEO, a founder, or an entrepreneur is not to manage campaigns or rework the sales funnel every quarter. It is to run the company. Every hour spent on marketing decisions is an hour not spent where your judgment carries the most weight.
That is the actual function of this engagement. Not to replace your decision-making, but to free it up for where it matters most. So that you can use your time to grow the business further or to relax.
Why This Engagement Works Differently
There are many fractional CMOs in the market, many with strong backgrounds in agencies or corporate marketing departments. I bring something different to the table.
I am an operator, not a consultant. I have built and scaled my own online businesses since the early 2000s, long before "fractional CMO" existed as a title. Every framework I use has been tested inside my own companies first, not drawn from a marketing degree or a case study I read about.
You are engaging another entrepreneur, not hiring an employee. I evaluate your business the way I evaluate my own: looking for leverage points, missing systems, and the highest-impact next move, without waiting to be told where to look. An entrepreneur thinks very differently than an employee. I think like you.
Your business is treated with the same standard as mine. The recommendations I make are the ones I would act on if I were the one accountable for the outcome.
When we speak, I will walk you through a structured framework I call the CMO Growth Map, used to assess where your marketing and growth function currently stands and identify the highest-leverage opportunities.
This is the same process used on the Discovery Call, whether or not we proceed further.

There are a few things I want you to know upfront, so there is no ambiguity about what this engagement involves. It's also full transparency to avoid wasting time.
There is no open spot at this time. I work with a maximum of 10 clients at any given time, and I am currently at capacity. If your application is a fit, you will be placed on a waitlist, and we will confirm timing once a position opens from an existing client's contract ending. It can be as early as next month or 3 months later.
This work is not outsourced. No junior marketer or AI system is operating under my name when it comes to my consulting and strategizing for your business. If a task can be handled well by AI or an internal hire, I will tell you directly, and you should do that instead. What you are engaging is my direct attention on your business, which is precisely why the client count is capped.
The minimum investment is USD $10,000 - whether that's for X months of hiring or a one-time customized training day. The final fee depends on the length of the engagement, the deliverables required, and the complexity of the work involved. Final pricing is confirmed on or after the Discovery Call.
How This Works
If this fits where your business stands today, complete the form below.
Step one. Complete the form below with an overview of your business, current position, and where you believe the gap is.
Step two. I will review your submission personally. If it is a fit, we will schedule a Discovery Call. If it is not, I will tell you directly, and where appropriate, point you toward a better-suited solution. In some cases, the honest answer is that a fractional CMO is not what your business needs right now.
Step three. On the call, I will walk you through the CMO Growth Map as it applies to your business and confirm the investment involved.
